About the Firebirds

The Firebirds dropped the puck in 2022 as the American Hockey League affiliate of the Seattle Kraken — the first pro hockey team the Coachella Valley could call its own. They made a run to the Calder Cup Finals in their very first season and have been a playoff fixture ever since.

The name nods to the phoenix rising from the desert heat — a team built for a place where ice in 110° weather feels a little like magic.

Acrisure Arena

Home ice is Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, off Cook Street just north of I‑10 — a 10,000+ seat venue that also hosts major concerts. Plan to arrive early: parking fills up and the pregame energy is half the fun.
